For the first twenty years of his career, Mike was a successful defense attorney at a large regional firm, representing insurance companies, commercial carriers, and major corporations. He learned the system inside and out.

He realized his true calling was not protecting corporate bottom lines, but rather helping real people find justice after their lives had been upended.

Among the cases that stay with him most is one he handled for parents who lost their young special needs daughter under circumstances no one could initially explain – until a Fortune 500 food producer issued a nationwide recall for salmonella contamination. The corporate defense team spared no expense. Mike prevailed anyway. The financial result mattered, but what mattered more was giving that mother and father the truth about what happened to their daughter, and with it, the ability to begin finding peace.
Outside the office, Mike is most at home with his wife and two kids. In the winter, you will find him at a deer lease he shares with lifelong friends. The rest of the year, he is on the golf course when the weather cooperates, out on the Tchefuncte River when the Louisiana heat sets in, and always up for a competitive game of cards, cornhole, or darts.
